Glass Spider protects her Bitcoin Pearl and Wulfenite Gem
A White Agate Nest, a bed of crushed Quartz, on Black Obsidian Glass
Design Concept & Story Narrative
- A black widow spider protects Bitcoin in her nest. The spider is made from Glass by a highly skilled glass sculptor. I engraved the Bitcoin symbol into the glass by copper wheel engraving and filled it with Gold.
- An orange ‘Wulfenite’ crystal blade on a bed of crushed Quartz, fills the White ‘Plicated’ Agate nest. Quartz turns electricity into vibration and time, via the ‘piezo-electric’ effect. Bitcoin also does this.
- Wulfenite is one of my favorite minerals. Wulfenite is a Lead, Molybdate Mineral with the formula Pb.MO.O4. It often occurs as thin tabular crystals with a bright orange-red to yellow-orange color.
- This specimen is from Morroco, Africa. An extraordinarily bright orange Wulfenite crystal that absolutely jumps out at you in any display. This crystal has many layers of crystallization around the edges and complexities on the terminated sides, is a blade like tabular structure and overall has a great aesthetic to it.
- A Cultured South Sea Pearl with a Gold top, engraved with the Bitcoin symbol sits under the Spider.
- My artwork sits on two Black Obsidian Glass Discs. Polished to a mirror finish. Obsidian is a form of Volcanic glass. This is a reference to energy from Volcanoes being used in El Salvador to mine Bitcoin.
